HILL COUNTRY FARMHOUSE
FREDERICKSBURG, TEXAS
A compact Hill Country vacation rental renovation in Fredericksburg, Texas, transformed through a redesigned roofline, simplified gable geometry, standing seam metal roofing, vertical siding, warm wood accents, and a more refined modern farmhouse character.
Project Description:
Hill Country Farmhouse is a thoughtfully reimagined vacation rental in Fredericksburg, Texas, located just minutes from the heart of town. Originally a modest structure, the home was transformed through a focused exterior renovation centered on roofline, proportion, material clarity, and the overall guest experience.
The design introduces a more cohesive architectural form through a new standing seam metal roof, simplified gable geometry, vertical siding, warm wood accents, and restrained exterior detailing. These updates give the residence a cleaner and more intentional farmhouse character while maintaining the quiet, approachable scale appropriate for a compact Hill Country retreat.
Large, carefully placed openings strengthen the relationship between interior and exterior spaces, allowing the home to feel more connected to the surrounding landscape and to glow warmly at dusk. The exterior material palette balances durability, simplicity, and warmth, creating a modern Hill Country farmhouse expression without overwhelming the original structure.
As a Fredericksburg vacation rental renovation, the project brings together practical exterior upgrades, architectural restraint, and a more memorable sense of arrival. The result is a compact but elevated guest retreat designed to feel intentional, comfortable, durable, and quietly refined.
